Girls Night Out features poets
Salena Saliva Godden of London, UK, Meliza Banalez of Santa Cruz, CA, and
Brett Axel of Utica, NY. Together they are performing in venues across
the northeast, as well as at several stops on the way out to the 2001
National Poetry Slam in Seattle, WA.
Salena Saliva Godden hosts a
weekly poetry show on BBC Radio, and will feature recordings made along
the way on her show, back in England.
Meliza Banalez was a member
of the 1998 and 1999 Santa Cruz, CA slam teams.
Brett Axel edited the acclaimed
activist poetry anthology, Will Work for Peace, and was a member
of the Woodstock Slam Team in 1999 and 2000 (as well as 2001). Click
